Sustainability

The topic of sustainability is very important to us. Acting and reacting sustainably is therefore part of our working methods, but also a component of our philosophy. We want to experience and share a more conscious lifestyle and way of working, to show a way of how it can also work differently.
We are aware that we are not perfect in what we do, but we are constantly working to improve. We are therefore very grateful for objective and constructive criticism.
However, we would like to introduce you to some aspects that we have incorporated into our shop and our working methods.

1. Donations

For each order, 2 € is donated each month to an organization in need that works to preserve animals and the environment.

If you know an organization that you think we should definitely donate to, please send a message to kaliana.jewelry@gmx.net including the name of the organization, contact details (homepage, phone number/email) and what they stand for.

We want to show you and everyone else that the donations arrive where they are needed and would provide corresponding proof.

  

2. Packaging

If you have already ordered from us, you will certainly have noticed that we largely avoid plastic when packing. And if we do use plastic, it is packaging material that we reuse. Our packaging cardboard is ecological and we always try to ensure that this remains the case. We continue to use shipping boxes and packaging material from the supplier by making them into new filling material for your orders. In some cases, we also order filling material from other companies to relieve the environment, and you even save costs. But the aspect of sustainability is also reflected in our way of working.

 

3. Workplace

We want to work sustainably and try, for example, to completely avoid paper for printing invoices or for notes. Invoices and order confirmations are sent by email. We use our mobile phones and laptops for notes. Contracts are also processed online and we use energy-saving electronic devices.
